Collier Resources strives to maintain a small environmental footprint during production and completely erases it when production is complete. A wellhead the size of a large fire hydrant and an electric generator are all the equipment that typically remain on the site once a well is established. Once production is complete, an average of 12-15 years for one well, the site is restored as closely as possible to its original condition.
The restoration process includes:
- Removing all equipment and the limestone pad.
- Returning and contouring the original topsoil.
- Replanting native vegetation.
- Restoring original water flow.
- Continuous monitoring to ensure success.
